CHARTIS INSURANCE COMPANY
In response to the changing environment regarding certificates of insurance and demands from property management companies, landlords and contract requirements, the following changes will apply to CHARTIS policies for new business on 1/1/2011, and for renewals commencing on their renewal effective date on or after 1/1/2011:
- General Liability Additional Insured Endorsement 61712 is replaced by the CG2026-Additionanal Insured – Designated Person or Organization with the following wording included on the endorsement:
FOR SHIPPERS AND LANDLORDS WHERE MOVES ARE TO OCCUR PER CERTIFICATES ON FILE WITH PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR
- General Liability Endorsement CG2404-Waiver of Transfer of Rights of Recover Against Others to Us will either be issued with the blanket wording of:
FOR SHIPPERS AND LANDLORDS WHERE MOVES ARE TO OCCUR PER CERTIFICATES ON FILE WITH PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR
OR require a specific endorsement to the policy based on underwriter discretion.
- Business Auto Liability Waiver of Subrogation Endorsement 62897 will be added to all Business Auto policies and can be attached to certificates when required by contract.
- Business Auto Liability Additional Insured 61710 will be added to all TRK policies and can be attached to certificates when required by contract.

A copy of the related endorsement, instructions, additional premium, and when additional information needs to be provided to your underwriter are also noted on the samples. For quick reference a glossary of approved wording and endorsements is also located in the enclosed.
Certificates of insurance issued from the insurance brokers office are to adhere to the wording and instructions as provided on the enclosed
link . ALL issued certificates must be submitted to our office for review. Please note it is not our responsibility to check your acord certificate to endorse policy changes. A certificate does not amend the policy nor imply change of conditions. When a certificate requires a change in policy provisions submit an acord change request form.
